Life is short
I decided to use orange and pink. I have not tried it, well now I have. I think it turned out okay. I will keep working on it. Everything looks better while working on it. Take a picture of it and all the flaws come out....boy can I relate!

October card using DP Artworks Stamps
Here is what I have been working on. I used DP Artworks Branch LG rubber stamp. I stamped the branch in black, using a Black Memories pad. I added lines for the web of the spiders. I found some pearl dimensional paint which worked great. The paint has a small pointy end which makes a nice line. Using the paint as an adhesive I stuck the spiders on. Finding some glow-in-the-dark stickers at the store I trimmed the moon and stars and Tah dah...It is done.
I like the way this card turned out. I am sending it on to Deena and the folks at DP Artworks. So soon you will be seeing it on their blog. I can't wait. I am making several of these for the boy's teachers and a few good friends.

DP Artworks stamp sample
My two boys are in bed and I have the freedom to create, and create I have.
My first stop at Stampaway this year was the DP Artworks booth. It was like walking into a forest, I loved it! I can not wait until next year! Her classes are always so fun. I sent her some samples. More to come.

Converting a room...lots of slow moving work!
I have decided to convert one of our spare rooms into a studio for my art. I am hoping I have not bitten off more than I can chew. It has turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it would be. I am going through the boys old clothes, old paper work, and a bunch of junk. Sometimes I have to walk away and return later. It will be so great once I get it all done!

Wow...and time ticks on....tempus fugit...DP Artworks revisited
Once again the new school year has started. (Needless to say I am thrilled!) I once again am working in the studio, able to work without boys knocking over paint, glitter, and whatever else boys can get into. I made a card using some DP Artworks stamps. I saw this card at Stampaway 2010 this year. I fell in love took photos and today I made one. I have to admit...I love these stamps and I will be talking a lot about them on my blog. I met Deena and all the folks at DP Artworks and they are very generous and wonderful people. Their both this year was really cool, with "trees" and samples hanging from them. The demo was wonderful as well.
I think these will be my Christmas cards this year. I followed her directions and I think the cards turned out great!
